Birthdays mean cake, right? Well not for a cookie lover. I’m always up for a new challenge and when it came time to make a birthday cake for someone who prefers the cookie, I wanted to ensure that this homemade version was just as tasty as the greasy goodness that is the store-bought cookie cake. After searching through a number of recipes I settled on Martha
. After all, she never fails. This recipe was actually for a layered cookie cake, but worked for the giant version as well. This was also my first experience piping letters on a cake…Let’s just say I hope to go up from here. The recipe makes more than enough for a pizza pan size cookie cake. I used the extra dough for cookies for my roommates.
